Skin Pen Microneedling
An introduction to

Microneedling

Microneedling or collagen induction therapy is a clinical treatment used to stimulate the natural production of collagen.  As we age, this natural production by the skin of collagen and elastin diminishes leading to skin laxity and wrinkles. During the Microneedling procedure sharp, thin needles create temporary microscopic puncture wounds in the top layers of the skin to stimulate the skins natural wound healing process. This healing process produces the natural release of collagen and elastin, which are the proteins that keep your skin looking firm and smooth.

Overview

At the Repton Clinic we use the award winning, FDA approved Skinpen Precision as our microneedling device, because it has been clinically proved to be safe and effective. Using the pen, we create controlled micro injuries to stimulate the body’s natural wound healing process, while minimising cellular damage. The result is effective remodelling and rejuvenation of the skin, without the intervention of surgery.
