An introduction to

High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU)

High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound or HIFU is a non-invasive treatment designed to Lift, Tighten and Contour the face and body.  A versatile treatment, it can be used on the entire face, neck and body.  During treatment uniform, concentrated waves of ultrasound accurately target specific layers of the skin and body tissue stimulating the breakdown of stubborn fat cells or the production of collagen.

Overview

At The Repton Clinic, we use Ultraformer III, the Global Leader in Multi-Depth Ultrasound devices. We use Ultraformer III because the HIFU-powered transducers deliver concentrated, controlled precision pulses of energy which ensures only target treatment areas are affected by the energy, not the surrounding cells and tissue.

In the shallower layers of the skin, the energy from Ultraformer III pulses creates a controlled micro-trauma which stimulates new collagen and elastin production.  This lifts and tightens the skin, to create a smoother firmer appearance, and a reduction in wrinkles, fine lines and sagging.

Using Ultraformer III’s macro cartridges, HIFU energy can also be used to target deeper subcutaneous layers to slim and contour body shape by removing stubborn fat cells.
