An introduction to

Anti-Wrinkle Treatment

Injectable anti-wrinkle treatments use Botulinum toxin or Botox to relax the muscles. Wrinkles can be formed by excessive contraction of the facial muscles. By injecting a small amount of the toxin directly into the muscle with a small needle, chemical signals that trigger nerve impulses to the muscle are blocked and the muscle relaxes. This in turn smooths the overlying skin and reduces wrinkles.

Overview

At the Repton Clinic we use one of the leading brands of local muscle relaxant adapted from the botulinum toxin called Azzalure®. Azzalure® is a product which is specifically designed for use in aesthetic indications and is a controlled medicine that can only be obtained via prescription from a pharmacy by a qualified clinician. All our injectable treatments are administered by Dr Nisha.
